Three Risk Capital Partner Finalists for Retailers Retailer of the Year Awards 2010

Risk Capital Partners portfolio company Giraffe won Deal of the Year 2010, for its acquisition of 11 Tootsies restaurants.

Risk Capital’s acquisition of Baker & Spice was also a finalist in this category.

The Retailers Retailer of the Year Awards also named Luke Johnson, Chairman of Risk Capital Partners for Investor of the Year as a Finalist.

The Retailers’ Retailer of the Year Awards recognise the best companies, concepts and individuals in the pub, bar and restaurant market.

Organised by M&C Report, the winners are chosen by the industry itself.

The awards are launched each autumn, with a 700-strong Retailers’ Academy, comprising senior executives from the industry, nominating their favoured companies, concepts and individuals.

From these nominations, a shortlist is created and then over the Christmas and New Year period, the Academy is invited to vote for the winners.

The Retailers’ name is used for these awards, which are in their 12th year, because they recognise the very best in licensed and foodservice retailing.

The 2010 Awards were held on Wednesday 3rd March at The Dorchester Hotel on Londons Park Lane.
